Candle care

Trim the wick to 2–3 mm
Before each lighting, trim the wick to 2–3 mm — the flame stays even, with no soot or smoke.

First burn — until the top fully melts
On the first burn, let the wax melt across the whole surface (30–60 min). Otherwise the candle 'tunnels' straight down, leaving unmelted walls and a crater.

Don't blow it out — cover it
Don't blow the flame out — cover the candle with a snuffer or lid. This avoids smoke, wax splatter and a burnt smell.

Don't burn longer than 3–4 hours
Don't burn the candle longer than 3–4 hours at a time. Let the wax set before relighting — the candle will last longer.

Safety
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from drafts, children and pets, and place it on a flat, heat-resistant surface.

When to stop using
Stop using the candle when about 1 cm of wax remains — this keeps the vessel from overheating.
